Whenever I try to run the pairing software, I get told it can't pair in the time frame allotted or something like that. Move it further away and it goes bonkers, with the cursor stopping dead in its tracks as you scroll over an open window, then re-appears someplace else on the screen. The thumbwheel problems listed above aren't fixed, but the cursor doesn't get lost. What is weird is that the M705 Mouse only works semi-properly when its within 10" of the iMac.

I've got the latest software and firmware, that all checks out. Thanks for your hanging in there with me Pat. Keep in mind that the 15 year old MS Intellimouse works 10 times better except its got that old school cable. So is anyone using a Logitech wireless mouse, specifically the MX Master 2S or the M705 with Adobe CS6 Photoshop? If so, can you clue me in on your settings so I can figure out whether its my settings or the mice. Sometimes the M705 almost seems OK when browsing but occasionally the cursor will fly all over the place and disappears for a second. I'm beginning to wonder if its me or Logitech?Ĥ. Add to this that there's no instructions with this specific mouse and that Logitech's web site is mass-confusion site.

If you want to use the PS "Stroke" function, you can't scroll up and down in smooth increments from 2 to say 6 sequentially. Also in Photoshop, the thumbwheel function is messed up. Conversely, when I plug in the MS intelimouse, the thumbwheel grows or shrinks the same image in less than 1% increments.Ģ.

but using the thumbwheel, just hardly moving it zooms up to 53%! Thats exactly the same as the MX Master 2S bluetooth mouse. So imagine you're trying to expand or shrink a photograph to fit in a piece of artwork and it says its at 20% as you look at it but decide it needs to be somewhere between 20% and 30%. In Photoshop CS6, rotating the M705 thumbwheel jumps the image typically in about 20% increments when using the ratchet or smooth turn. The M705 arrived earlier today, I've been messing with it for an hour or so, still having problems with the zoom/scroll wheel.ġ. I understand that they may have also improved the microswitches which could malfunction after a year or so on the latest made Logitech M705. I understand that Logitech has changed the skid pads on the most recent versions of their Logitech M705 slightly, but I have no idea if it makes any difference or improvement. But mine has never wondered off or away from my desk.Īnd you just might be interested in this video and Holy smoke, I can't believe the price that some are asking for the Logitech MX510 mouse these days, but users sure seem to love them:Ī 14 Year Old Mouse That's STILL Amazing! Logitech MX510 They both seem to have about the same number of buttons and features, and if you want a "wired" version of the Logitech M705, I guess you could always attach a string or cord to it.

There is NO delay as some BT mice have and from the photos it looks like your MX510 is a bit more rounded and maybe a tiny bit narrower than the Logitech M705 but I couldn't find any actual measurements. And the two AA batteries do last almost three years for me and I never even turn it off. The Logitech M705 is USB wireless only and acts just like any wired Logitech mouse I ever used, well actually better I'd say.
